Sometimes when you're five...

...you get a hankering to make a video about Martin Luther King, Jr.

During some of the time off that we had this week because Seattle has become Alaska, Anna wanted to make a video about Martin Luther King, Jr. So, Wife helped her and they made a video that actually kind of touched me. It's really short, and it has good information. Like that Martin Luther King did not, in fact, free the slaves like about 35% the Facebook statuses I saw on Monday claimed. Nope... what he did was different than that.

Here, watch. Make my 5-year-old's dream of people seeing this video come true.

There. I'm pretty sure we just made America better.

In other news, after the fact, I came up with the best idea ever for my picture from last post:

This picture would be perfect for an ad for Viagra. Or for a doctor who specializes in E.D. So, if you peddle either of those things, call me! *does air phone*
And finally, I wanted to mention that The Ultimate Foreplaylist is still under construction, but soon it will be up and we will change the world with THAT too.

So, so far in this post we have made America better, helped those with ED, and aided with intimacy. (Which is kinda the same thing. But different.)

Not bad for a quick post at 1:30 in the morning. Go us.

'Night.

    1. Ursula! I'm glad you liked it, and I'm glad to hear from you. About the weather--Seattlites are flipping crazy on the road. I can say that not because I'm the only Seattlite who can drive in the snow (like 99% of Seattlites claim) but because I am one of the flipping crazy snow drivers out there. We are insane on the roads. It's hilarious.

  3. That's so awesome!! She knows more at five about cicl rights than most people now at age 20 ( Sad but true. I weep for our country.). You should be so proud of her. Which I'm sure you are. I agree with Ursula, she is going to change lives for the better!! Way to go Josh and Wife on raising great kids.

    1. Aw, thanks a ton. And I think she will change lives, one youtube video at a time. Where by that I mean one Youtube video ever because, turns out, that thing took a lot of work!

  5. She did a great job! And way more factual information that what my son told me when he was in 1st grade (he's now in 8th and hopefully checks his facts now).
Son: "I know what today is. Today is the day we honor the guy who was once black but now he's white. He was shot in the head and now he has a show on TV and talks about grape juice."
Me: "Uhh, what the whaaat are you talking about?!"
Son: "You know, Mom. It's Larry King Jr Day."
Me: "Yeah, I'm pretty sure that is wrong on every level, but nice try."

So every year we have a good giggle on Larry King Jr Day. The man who once was black and now is white... and apparently a grape juice loving zombie.

  7. My 9 yr old told me about MLK:

Abraham Lincoln freed the slaves, but they weren't really free so Martin Luther King finished the job.

    Yeah, kinda like that.
